4th Test, 3 ODI
India already leading series by 2-1 and on the verge of winning their first ever series in Australia (Down Under). They will love to claim 3 match ODI series against weak Australia side and lay claim for world cup in England in May.
Sri Lanka Tour of New Zealand (3 -11 Jan)
3 ODI and only T20 ( 3 – 11 Jan)
With Back to back series defeats at home against England and Away at New Zealand after drawing first test. Sri Lankan team will be looking for fightback under their new captain Lasith Malinga to make good inroads for world cup.
Pakistan In South Africa (3 Jan – 6 Feb)
2nd and 3rd Test , 5 ODI , 3 T20I
Same as Sri Lanka , Pakistan is on South Africa Tour on back of series loss in Dubai Against New Zealand. After defeat in first test they will look to comeback in white cloths and start new year on Fresh.
They are world number 1 side in T20I and look to give hard time to South Africa in white ball cricket spanning over 5 ODI and 3 T20I. South Africa will look to put solid performance in ODI to stake claim for biggest prize in May in England.
England in WI (23 Jan – 2 Mar)
3 Test , 5 ODI
England will tour West Indies to start 2019 year they are gonna host world cup with match practice in 3 test and 5 ODI. They will look to white wash West Indies in Both series. Can expect some fight back from Caribbean in White ball cricket.
India in New Zealand (23 Jan – 10 Feb)
India will play 5 ODI followed by 3 T20I
Sri Lanka in Australia (24 Jan – 5 Feb)
Sri Lanka will play 2 Test in Australia
Sri Lanka Tour of South Africa (13 Feb – 24 Mar)
2 Test , 5 ODI and 3 T20I
Bangladesh in New Zealand (13 Feb – 20 Mar)
3 ODI followed by 3 Test
Afghanistan v Ireland in India (23 Feb – 21 Mar)
3 T20I , 5 ODI , Only Test
Both nation will play in India. Both nation will play second test after gaining test status in 2018. It would be exciting contest between new comers in Test.
Australia in India (24Feb – 23 Mar)
Australia will tour India for 5 ODI and 2 T20I to prepare for world cup. It will be last series for both countries before world cup.
England in Ireland (3 May)
Pakistan in England (5 – 19 May)
Only T20I and 5 ODI
It is just before world Cup and help both team as world cup is in England.
Afghanistan tour Scotland (8 – 10 May)
Afghanistan will be able to prepare in English Condition by Playing in neighbour countries.
Sri Lanka Tour of Scotland (18 – 21 May)
Another asian team will get familiar with english condition before World Cup
World Cup 2019 (30 May- 14 July)
48 ODI , 10 Teams in England
India , Australia , England , South Africa , New Zealand , Australia , Sri Lanka , Pakistan , West Indies , Bangladesh , Afghanistan
In new world cup format there will be no group. Instead all team will play each other across 45 match then top 4 team qualifying for semi final and then eventually one team will hold trophy on 14th July in Cricket’s Mecca ground Lord’s. They will take trophy from Australia. England and India are favourites to win world cup followed South Africa and New Zealand. India have previously won Champions Trophy in England.South Africa will be looking to avoid mistake of 2015 where they reached in semis and losing against co-host New Zealand. Bangladesh and Afghanistan , West Indies , Sri Lanka among the weaker side will look to spoil party for strong contenders.
Ireland in England (24 – 29 July )
Only Test .
Ireland Will play first test with their neighbour after gaining test status in 2018. They have played against Pakistan and Afghanistan before meeting England.
Ashes ( Australia in England) (1 Aug – 16 Sep)
After world cup campaign in England Australia will Tour England for famous Ashesh series with banned player like Smith and Warner will be back so they will feel confident.
